Each workshop will include a warm up,
various dance moves & exercises, and a cool down/yoga stretch period. There
will be time allowed for individual attention and questions. Please register by email in

something you can move in examples of what some people wear: shorts &
t-shirt, sports bra & sarong, sweats & leotard

An empty stomach - please eat
because that's important! But don't eat a big meal right before class -
it'll make you very uncomfortable.

Yourself ! Because you're not
too old or too young, too fat or too thin, too tall or too short, too out of
shape or too hard bodied, everyone is welcome ! Except watchers -
participation is required.
*Classes
in Seattle everyone must be at least 18 years old to be in the facility. *Other
Classes do not have
an age limit teenagers and children with a reasonable attention span are
welcome !

Learn several basic tribal aka group
improvisional belly dance steps and movements. Learn to cue belly dance
partner(s) and how to follow and lead other dancers.

Introduction to Zills

Learn the basics of zill playing. We will
cover the most common rhythms and different ways to play your zills. Learn
belly dancing and zill combinations.

with a Veil

Learn to belly dance with a veil. Entrances,
floor work, spins, and more . . . You must bring your own veil.
A veil is 2 1/2 to 3 yards of a flowing fabric: silk, chiffon, etc. They
can be purchased from places listed under
shopping.

Belly Dancing 123's
